Hi ahhaha; Re: "Where have you been for the last week or decade and where is our plane?"

Our plane was the one that was spying. If we hadn't of felt a need to fly military aircraft where they have no conceivable peaceful purpose none of this would be happening. If I were running China, I wouldn't give the U.S. the plane back until the U.S. agreed to quit doing that. Maybe we could get China to agree to not fly too close to Japan . in return.

Re: " Where have you been for the last decade? You're so completely wrong that one wonders whether you haven't coated this one over. China has sold weapons of all kinds across Asia, even to the Middle East, and in the Americas, all well documented."

Where have you been for the last 50 years? France has sold weapons of all kinds across Asia, even to the Middle East, and in the Americas, all well documented. Switzerland has sold weapons of all kinds across Asia, even to the Middle East, and in the Americas, all well documented. Russia has sold weapons of all kinds across Asia, even to the Middle East, and in the Americas, all well documented. The United States has sold weapons of all kinds across Asia, even to the Middle East, and in the Americas, all well documented.

Your point? Do you think it would be fair if China was the only major power not allowed to export weapons? Do you think it would be fair if China were only allowed to export weapons to countries that the United States approved of? Do you think that the other major powers should be able to decide who China is allowed to export weapons to? Please explain exactly your position. Don't simply blame China for actions that every major nation shares.

Re: "BS"

The BS in the description of China as a significant international arms merchant is in the magnitude of the sales. The United States is the world's largest arms manufacturer and the world's largest arms exporter by far. In addition, the United States makes the world's best arms. Do you deny any of these statements?

Re: "You quote this as your factual source? I suspect you're Chinese. It's the only possible conclusion."

You're being silly, and drifting into personal attacks. The next thing I expect you to say is that my postings indicate that China must have a large short position on RMBS. (G) What I did was link into the thread an official Chinese government description of their position with regard to arms production and exports. When examining issues, I believe in going to the original sources, when available. When weighing an issue at dispute between two opponents, I believe in listening to the statements of both parties and judging them on the merits dispassionately.

(Ad hominem attack involving "The Inquisition" deleted here.)

Re: "You can't really believe that pack of lies."

I'm not an expert in international arms exports and imports. Neither are you. If you want to demonstrate that China has larger arms exports than the United States, go ahead, count the arms shipments, estimate the values, or at least find a link. I've said before that the U.S. complaint about Chinese arms sales are not about the quantity, the complaints are about who the arms sales are to.

I don't know what the actual figures are. But my guess is that even the official U.S. figures for U.S. arms exports and the official U.S. figures for estimated Chinese arms exports will show that the U.S. sells many times as much as China does. Want to bet me that I can't find a link showing just that?
