Sounds like they left off the S+L debacle. That was about 600 billion right on Reagan-Bush's watch. We paid for it. I always laugh when I hear "smaller government" talked about by the GOP. In that's their belief then why do they always raise budgets and deficits? Goes to more military build-up I guess, and S+L bail-outs. But they do cut programs to the environment, health care and the poor. I'll hand them that.
