Gimme a break. Just read that El Paso Gas over-charged California by 500 million in January by cutting supply and raising prices 50%. This was in direct cooperation with the Energy Cartel whose front-men now sit in our White House. And don't think you're getting off wherever you live. This is starting to look like one of the biggest ripoffs in history.

As for Nader, for many years he was a crusader for consumers against ripoffs. You may not like you but you have to at least partly admire him. My grip with Nader was that he got too full of himself and actually stated that Gore was as bad as Bush on the environment which the Bush people used to great advantage. This was an outright lie. Although I did agree with Nader's assessment that both parties had become overly addicted to soft money. Soft money is the real culprit here for the energy ripoffs. Without it, the pigs would not be allowed at the trough of our pocketbooks. Don't expect Bush to ever stand up to the energy thieves including OPEC. Because in fact he and Cheney are part of the plan. This is where method of grasping more power and money. As simple as that. And they can also try to use it as an excuse to dismantle almost all environmental regulation. Let's stand up to them as a people and stop it.

When it comes time to account for the responsibility for killing off the last salmon spawning grounds for the sake of extracting oil from the North Shore of Alaska as well as killing off all safe and clean electrical capacity in a soon-to-be browned-out California, the wacko-right and their leaders Gail Norton and the CEO of ENRON will be stood in front of the whole world and forced to watch as even their conservative pals in Congress help pass enabling bill after enabling bill to rectify the situation. It will still take years to get energy conservation back to where it should have been in the first place, and the Republican party will completely change personnel (more likely) or pay the price at the polls (less likely). Either way, all you'll have left is the "spoiler" George Bush. And his guarantee of continued Democratic victory will finally make up for all the damage he's about to do.
