Nirvana is the highest state achievable at any time by a Budda boy or girl, literally it means "extinguishing of self" the only person I know who advocates this is Frederick Smart with his "ego-death" rhetoric. Who knows, maybe it is a good idea. As far as the source goes I think the Encyclopedia Brittanica would say almost the same thing as the Catholic Encyclopedia. "It's always better to get the first person account I tend to think" I agree with that completely but I doubt your cohorts agree. I find with a lot of Americans that are left leaning they tend to sing platitudes to socialism without ever having experienced it first hand. You can't be a lefty if you have not lived in a leftist country and seen what a real sewer actually looks like. I never said Democrats were "low-educated" I think the problem stems from too much of the wrong education and a horrible naivete.
