Hi, Rob - "I know that there are a number of vendors, including IoSpan, Beamreach, Wi-Lan and Raze Technologies that do not have their systems quite ready for field trials at this time."

That is almost true, but not quite.

As we speak, Wi-LAN is shipping coded OFDM product to networks in the UK, the Netherlands, and the Baltic regions. The signed contracts include Tele2 UK, NetCom, Telia, and SkyberNet.

To paraphrase the CEO of Wi-LAN - Running trials is a difficult and expensive process. For the price of an airplane ticket, carriers will be able to visit these networks, and see for themselves how well they run.

Regards,

Jim
