E A few links on Defrg for you to peruse at your leisure.:) Here it what I'd do regarding WinZip.Uninstall it and then do a reinstallation. After uninstalling it go to search on the start menu,do a find folder or files for WinZip and delete any references to it that were part of the installation process. Download site and Web pages of course need not be deleted. You should never have to be in safe mode just to defrag.Something is definitely amiss. plus disabling my screensaver About a year ago I deleted all screensavers from my system and configured my Power Management Applet in the Control Panel to shut off the hard drive and monitor after 15 minutes of inactivity. Pressing one key or moving the mouse brings the system back up to the condition where you left it in about 3-5 seconds.
