I think that an exuberant overpriced market is a blessing because it allows the companies with the most untenable business plans to have their IPO's for me (and you) to short. Since the IPO market froze up last year, I've found pickings to be a lot slimmer than I would like.

who is gonna keep on buying?

Who *is* buying?? Some finally came out last week or so, but that's about it. Tons of cash still on the sidelines or shorting.

We arent gonna see CSCO at 100 for a long long long time

I agree... in fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see it hit 10 first. I'm not naive.. I'm merely pointing out that the SOX is extremely cheap. I'm not a fan of every single tech stock out there... just the good ones that are now overly sold. Of course it's not all uphill... and I'm certainly not expecting a 100% NAZ return anytime soon, but I'm convinced the SOX *will* see that sort of return over the next 12-18 months. Nothing I buy is overpriced. I use to play that game, because that was the market, but not anymore... one must always adjust their port to fit the market of the moment. And I do agree that timing the market is very, very difficult. I would rather time events (i.e. AAPL earnings next week), and buy good value/growth for the longer term. I would like to do more hedging via shorts/Puts though... probably will do some next week in fact.
