Blow Hard Dan - Re: "AMD revenues and pre-tax profits have been up, despite a tough market."

I will accept the fact that you are ignorant - rather than a liar.

AMD's revenues have been essentially FLAT since Q2 2000:

Q2 2000 .......... Q3 2000 ........... Q4 2000
$1,170,437 ....... $1,206,549 ....... $1,175,172

AMD's pre-tax profits in Q4 2000 were LESS THAN their profits in Q2 of 2000:

Q2 2000 .......... Q3 2000 ........... Q4 2000
258,888 ........... 602,150 ...........200,543

In fact, AMD's Q4 2000 income before taxes was DOWN 67% from their Q3 2000 income !!!

I guess you're not smart enough to read the annual report !

Paul

Blow Hard Dan - Re: "AMD has been - literally - eating Intel's lunch in Intel's core desktop CPU market for the past year."

Sure, sure.

AMD has 17% of the CPU market - about the same they had in 1994.
