Re: What does it feel like to be poor and not be able to buy a stock at any price?

I wouldn't know.

Just what was the point of your post?

What does it have to do with the continuing collapse of Rambus?

If you're wondering why I'm spending more time on this board, again, it's because I've bought more RMBS puts (I'm not posting for amusement alone, like some others).

You might want to pay more attention to Bilow than to me, since he has made it clear that he has been avoiding investing in the stock - so that would make him an impartial contributor. Meanwhile, I think buying RMBS puts is a good investment, I have done so, and I have a vested interest because of it. Do you have any vested interest in RMBS stock performance that could color your posted opinions?

For myself, I think shorting RMBS (through put purchases, outright short selling is too risky for my taste) is an excellent, if risky investment.

And I bought those puts before RMBS came out with 8 cents a share and forecast a 20% revenue decline for next quarter (the first quarter to reflect the effects of the big P4/RDRAM ramp up).

I'm looking forward to Monday's market response - are you?

Dan

PS - my RMBS put investment is pretty small - you just never know what's going to happen with litigation, and I'm willing to forego a huge win in order to avoid the possibility of a huge loss.

How well will you do if the rambus story ultimately turns out the way you expect it to? How screwed are you if it doesn't?
