Tell that to the rest of the world... even we Americans still have a long way to go. Only about 50-60% of us Americans have PC's. And if you think PC's are the only thing in our future, you are greatly mistaken. You don't think our home appliances will be connected in the future?? Many people thought the industrial revolution and manufacturing technology would end years ago too. Boy were they wrong. Sorry, but being a technologist, I can absolutely 150% assure you that you are *very* wrong. You have no *idea* just how powerful technology is and how much efficiency it can bring to business. Maybe you should talk to GE? They haven't saved billions by relying on pen and paper... or even a basic PC w/ just Excel and Word on it. They are now doing billions of revs online and creating B2B transaction capabilities. 10 years from now, there will be few office workers left.... only technologists automating every aspect of their previous jobs.
