All I know about Indian markets is that another major scam was unearthed. It shook the confidence. Besides, the DUNG bubble created a bubble of proportion (huge for the size of Indian market) in India. When I was there two years ago, it was hard to find values. I bought an oil stock and a finance stock. Both have done extremely well. I don't think that you can purchase with the same ease - at least not yet.

A large part of the India fund holdings consists of IT stocks like Infosys. With the IT business imploding, these companies will have a harder time making their numbers and their extremely high valuations are coming down. Take a look at the chart of INFY...
I think its smart to look at the exposure to IT stocks before making the investment case for an Indian CEF. The less the better...
