Yes, the KT266 boards certainly seem to be problematic for web site reviewers! I also recall the drop in #slots on the AMD760 from early boards to the final versions.

My prior post incorrectly indicated that the FIC AD11 (AMD760) had 3 DIMM slots but it clearly only has two.

So, the present limit for DDR based mobos is 1GB. At least the price and availability for PC2100-256MB has very rapidly become very good in the last couple of weeks. It would be nice to see some boards with more slots.
At least the 760MP will revive 4 slots based on this photo (sorry for bare graphic link - couldn't backtrack to article): watch.impress.co.jp
