As I appreciate it, the Ciscos and other generals were irrationally optimistic about their future prospects and seriously over-ordered from their suppliers. They have two issues to deal with now: First, they have to go through their inventory. Secondly, they have to go through it in the midst of a slowing economy. This will throw the tech supply sector (INTC, TXN, LSI, AMAT, AMD, etc.) into a further tailspin. There should be great value opportunities in this group in the next six months.

Throw increasing energy prices into the mix and I just don't see how we'll see a recovery for at least six to nine months. Sideways trading in a fairly narrow range will probably take place for some time before any real improvement in stock prices takes place. Just my opinion.
