Grace: What's interesting also is how the public flow dropped off. Is that a ratio to one of the other parameters (ie inversely proportional) or was it independently dropping ?

Seems to me that would add weight to my argument that Institutions are propping up the market vs retail. Looking ahead there doesn't seem to be much incentive fundamentally to get bullish, but may be there's so much untempered wealth out there looking for a place to park the cash that this seems like the time to buy the market. It doesn't seem like Wall St is licking any wounds after tax payments.

Perhaps logic would have favored a sharply down day but we'll probably rally into the close regardless of INTC earnings. If CSCO earnings wasn't enough to splash cold reality on markets than nothing is.
