You know, I have printed most of these posts out. That is clearly an exercise in diminishing returns, because the sheer number of pages is confusing. But I'm printing it out again, and after a mental health break from obsessing on the defrag problem, i will study it. It was nice of you to remind me, thank you, mr. mark. I looked at it, and the proof that I have really been learning a lot is that the first time I read that post of yours, I thought, oh look, mr. mark speaks Greek; but this time it seems clear enough. So all your efforts and those of the others haven't been for nothing, truly.

Do have to do it this way 1. Reboot the computer. 2. When you see the message "Starting Windows 95," press F8. 3. Choose "Command Prompt Only" and press Enter. 4. At the DOS prompt, type NDD: Or can I get to DOS via Start... Programs... Accesssories... MS Dos Prompt and then do steps 3 and 4 ? It seems obvious that I can get to DOS prompt acceptably this simpler way, except for the words "Command prompt only." Which makes it seems like there is more than one kind of prompt... ?
