Firstly, let me say I agree with you that there is probably a couple of more days of sideways/up which may be hard to trade. Moves like this don't end with a "V-top". The short opportunity will arrive Friday or Monday, especially given options expiration. I am watching the Rydex money market component to see how quick it comes down and so far it has been relatively stagnant. That is the dumb money and I expect it will have to find its way in before this move is done.

Secondly, I think the today's gap in the COMP is the logical retracemnt area, around 1950. Probably won't happen that way since its so logical.

Thirdly, I am getting more convinced that this is a 1 of 5 of A in tech but that won't be shown for some time. All you can do is buy the retracement which I think is a 2 of 5 of A. I said earlier that I think the last good shorting opp for many weeks is near. the bulls have the wheel for a while.

Fourthly and most importantly, I would love to hear your thoughts on the even bigger picture in non-tech. If NYA is beginning an impulsive up, what higher degree wave are we beginning here? If this is impulsive, we are looking at new highs in non-tech easily. If the fundamental backdrop wasn't so bleak, than I would say we have begun a major
bull move taking us into a multiyear rally.

For now, I am working with the idea that this wave is just part of the very large corrective Jell-O beginning back in the summer of 1999.

If the NYA were to go lower tomorrow somehow, would you consider the possibility of it having completed C of 2 and going on to 3 of 5 down, this from the Feb. high? I realize wave A of 2 may be a problem but all those gap ups there? Just a simple this is possible/not possible/complete bullshit answer would do, I know you are under time constraints. This is only under the premise that NYA turns tomorrow since it looks to me like if the above scenario has any chance, it is very close to it's limit of feasibility. I looked over these rules for it but may have missed something:
