Cat: I think there is some reasonable concern that the combination of the collapse of tech stocks over the past year and the late stage of the business cycle, marked by low capital investment, could snowball into a recession which might last years if we are not careful. I don't think a recession will do anybody much good -- hence the cut today. As for stocks I think it marks a period in which we have entered a trading range -- 1500 to 2500 with some risk of going to 1000 on the Naz if capital spending does not pick up in the next quarter. That is my take on this.
