It's funny how you react.

I remember, trying to open the door and run out of the car, but the door was jammed shut. Good thing too., (oncoming traffic) And the bleeding is scary. Blood on the windshield, running down my face.

And something else really weird. My daughter was at a party when it happened and she was in a hot tub with some friends, and she started to hyperventilate, jumped up and said "I've got a cold chill, I have to get out of here. Something is really wrong." Within minutes of the accident. And she was the very first thought I had. Once I started thinking about what had happened.

She even called home. And of course we were on the road.

The next day, my husband called her and told her what had happened, she asked him what time the accident occurred and she just couldn't believe it.
