Looks like Intel traded 33.25 AH, about .7 over close.

I was surprised that you decided to short Intel at this juncture. It has been going up on
a huge volume and the market mania seems to be returning back. You seem to at least
have the correct discipline of not letting the short go significantly against you. At this point,
too many retail shorts are in the market who will get toasted (or fried ;-) take a pick), suck up
a lot of money from the MM accounts sitting on the sideline on the long side and then go down with them
toasting the longs eventually, at least so it seems based on the enthusiasm for trash equities
returning. INTC could possibly run in the 40's in this upleg and might be dangerous to sell at least
until the volume dies down. It seems the media/analyst community is not able to rationally analyze
the current situation and doing a disservice to the investors by telling them to move into equities, not
to mention Fed pushing people into equities at this stage. I just hope AlanG pulls this off well because if his recipe
does not work we could have a decade to regret.

I have an order to cover 4000 INTC at the market open tomorrow

Why don't you close them out now in AH?

Re : "The next few weeks we may see a bear market rally that can be very painful for shorts."

then why dont you become a long for next few weeks! Or do you have some loyalty to shorting ?

Maui.

Kap,

Re: I have an order to cover 4000 INTC at the market open tomorrow. I will stay away from shorting for now.

Max Pain is at 27.5 and INTC is waaaaay overbought ... (as well as AMD)

A pullback tomorrow would be in place ...
