ED- I'm still curious to get a reply.....if we are a consumer debtor nation......who gonna fund the debt if the Japanese are unable to? Do we assume, in perpetuity, that Japanese and foreign bond holders will keep buying...despite the fundamentals of our economy, the fundamentals of their economy, net savings rates/total savings in both countries..

One thing's for sure....Japan has a lot less net savings then they used to...

A consumer/debtor nation always needs someone to hold their debt..
