<<The USSC should not have gotten involved under any circumstances.>>

Than neither should the Florida Supremes.

Under ANY circumstances??

Only one candidate, a Presidential candidate, looked for legal recourse...

It went through the Florida courts...what was the USSC supposed to do? Ignore the legal battles Gore started???

The USSC had no choice....

Whether you agree or disagree with their decision, the USSC was forced into this based on Gore's exercising his "legal" rights.

The plaintiff's claim was that rights guaranteed by the United States Constitution had been violated.

Scumbriag:

Your reply is both silly and ignorant. There was a federal statute and a provision of the US Constitution in issue. Of course the USSC would be involved to bring finality to the matter. And to top it all off, they got it right!
