CK,

I didn't realize that the USSC job was to make determinations of politically correct behavior by independent state courts.

I thought their job was to uphold the Constitution and the protection of rights allocated to the states.

Now I understand that State's Rights are only important to Republicans when politically expedient.

the USSC agreed, 7-2.

You must be using DOUG H math.

It was "equal protection under the law". Gore wanted his people to have cart blanche counting methods. If this way doesn't get Al enough votes, we'll just select more lenient standards. That's why a non partisan group (USSC) had to step in. I could recount Florida and Gore would lose by 200,000 votes. It wouldn't be an accurate count. The same thing applies to Gore's Florida democrats. They could count any way they wanted. Blatantly trying to steal the election.

The machine count is the most non partisan method. But it didn't have the outcome that Al and co. wanted, so they attempted to selectively count in their home territory. The fact that the USSC elected to intervene reassured my confidence in the voting apparatus.

The machine count is the most accurate. The whole bs scheme with the ballots was Plan A subtitle 1a. Gore got hammered in the debates and the slide began.

Have a good weekend CYBERKEN.
