If I were T my decision would be simple. It would be tickets to all upper management and a search for a new future in mid management. This at least to me offers some hope of a new start.

When you eat silicon quiche, you get colic.

You digress into the heart of the matter: calamity for IRA and 401k. There is no other negative possible in the New Economy. In the long run they are all jobbed.

T may digress and invoke an Old Economy technique of insourcing in order to keep their own doors open: Fire the bastards.

outsourcing firm

INDIANAPOLIS, April 23 (Reuters) - Life insurance and loan group Conseco, Inc. (NYSE:CNC - news)
said on Monday it would cut 2,000 jobs, or 14 percent of its overall work force, over the next 21 months
as it farms out some call-center and back-office services to India.

At the same time, Conseco said it would buy the firm providing the services in India, exlService (Exl), for
about $4 per share in Conseco stock, or $52.6 million overall.

Monday April 23, 4:28 pm Eastern Time
Last week, Conseco told employees that it would be moving 2000 jobs to India over the next 21 months. The company said that the areas affected by this move have an average turnover of more than 30%, providing a constant challenge to improving productivity and the quality of customer service. Additionally, the company anticipates more than $30 million in annual cost savings from moving these operations.

We use the word infra-structure loosely as if we must create an infra-structure before it begins to creates itself. No matter how i look at this the free market is global. In the case of gateway they managed to exorcise themselves from servicing their customers and the consequence of that action was no gateway.
The most lowest labor cost to gets the bid.
The numbers here are not significant as they are minute but it is glimpse of the future is. This states very clearly providers of communication might be taking a siesta but the the pure need for the service will make it a very short snooze.
