NYCB, the net income line is one of the most easily manipulated on the financials.

If CSCO hadn't convinced analysts that it wasn't important, I am confident that it would have appeared very different over the past few years.

Keep talking. No one serious about keeping their money ever cares what net income is. It's all about cash flows and free cash flow.
