Drew: I'm not against insider sales BUT...

I did notice that 2 Senior DELL Execs seem to have liquidated the majority of their holdings. Why would Carl Everett and Kevin Rollins sell off most of their stock in the last few months? At the same time MSD, Mort, VanderSlice and others seem to be keeping a lot of their shares....Hmmm...It's an interesting pattern. Who knows, maybe there are some crazy tax codes down in Austin <G>.

Even in light of what we see on the link above DELL seems to be healthier than its competitors. Its performing better and and seems to have strong institutional support. Large blocks of Insider Buying or Selling are indicators to watch. Sometimes they don't reveal what we may expect though...=)

Best Regards,

Scott

Re Insiders:
Thanks Drew, perusal of that list tells me Sam Nunn has been buying TX whenever he appears to have spare cash. It worked to follow MSD to Dell, and then to follow Mort to Ally. Probably wouldn't hurt to follow Sam.

He is certainly well-informed(g), and appears to rate TX a bit higher than Dell at the moment.

Drew.
Here is another look at Dell insiders.
What they do don't bother me
Overall is hard to compute
For example, Mort exercised 1,750,000 shs at $1.1 on (or by) ? Jan1
Then sold 1,432,500 shrs at $24 to 26 on or by 4-1
Does he now have 318,000 more shares ?
Well I can't tell from the questionable data in the reporting of these trades.
