Stan - fundies & "the concept". Maybe a bit of it's related to some of the high-priced help bumping up general estimates for 2001 in the oilpatch?

Last week some of the analyst folks indicated that they think the cdn./u.s. dollar will avg. about $0.66 which is down from earlier $0.68 C$/US$ thoughts. WTI moved up to $27 avg. vs earlier $25 and NYMEX gas moved from US$4.50 to $5.50 for the year.

Cdn. PAR benchmark for oil is just under $40 which is about an 11% increase & AECO-C benchmark for gas moved up by about 26% to between $7 and $8 cdn.

Popcorn time? Once some of the analysts start moving prices up seems as though others can't wait to do the same......... first the big names and then maybe today's pricing of the small ones will make a little bit more sense?

Cyclical.

$64K question. Where are we now in the cycle and how much room/time left? Jack be nimble....... Notice too that 2002 estimates are currently thinking lower price decks. At some point the forward-looking part of "the mkt." is going to start grasping "that concept". Enjoy it while the favour of the day is here.......
