E FWIW I have been hearing a lot of nasty s*&t about ME and its stability. Wonder if you can get 98SE or 2000 instead of ME on your new system
I suggest you go to www.techtv.com and read some of their comments re ME 2000 and 98SE

hi e

"I've bought a new computer. It comes with WindowsME already installed. It'll be delivered early next week"

congrats on the new addition to the family that will be arriving soon! care to share some specs with us? cpu speed, how much ram, hard drive size, manufacturer, monitor size, etc, etc?

also, will you be installing nsw2001 on it?

one of the coolest things to do with a new pc is to run norton utilities' windoctor on the system when it's brand new. you'll often find errors. optimizing the disk via speed disk is a good thing to do, too. all this, of course, is assuming you have not had your fill of symantec utility suites. if you were a bit disenchanted with them, it would be understandable. <g3>

i hope you're looking forward to your new baby.... you're gonna have a ball!

:)
