Paul, INTC's P4 prices are dropping quickly.

About a year ago, 1 GHz chips went for $1300.

Today's prices:

Chip March 1 price April 29 price

1.7 GHz NA $352

1.5 GHz $637 $256

1.4 GHz $423 $193

1.3 GHz $332 $193

Regards,

Tom

all it did was explode in our faces.. but now that the dust is settling

So you were off on your timing ;-)

The rate cut surprised everyone, while your information about the semis did not. Your thoughts and comments are still greatly appreciated.

One observation I have noticed over the years. Analyst and message board posters.... love to call the bottom for the semis repeatedly. IMO, they are just warming up.

I covered RIMM, INFY, RFMD, and a few others today. Still have half of IBM and all of PMCS (which I agree goes much lower).
