Hi M....No, they remain in their shapes....just well cooked, and really good....I don't know how it works, but the stew was a staple at our house for all the years the kids were growing up, and their were all sorts of weekend events that kept us away for the day, but really hungry for something hearty when we arrived home...(and this way the oven was the chef)
