Does anybody here know why CSCO wrote off 80% of Raw Materials? Wouldn't it have been more accurate or conservative to write off work in progress and/or finished goods inventory?

But hey, right after that we grow at 30/50% a year, right everyone.

Just rhetorical thoughts...

Mucho - I enjoy reading Gretchen's stuff in the NY Times on a regular basis. She pulls no punches and gets right to the meat of the matter. Now a comment - if you saw that piece you probably have also read the studies that the Times has run recently on stocks that go into single digits. Since the studies show that a very low percentage ever make it back out of the single digits, you better reconsider a Cisco buy at 3 <ggg>.

Best regards,
John

Ah, what the hell, a move from 3 to 5 would be a nice percentage trade!!!
