AMD to officially announce Athlon chips for notebook PCs in May

From your link :

"Sanders also reiterated statements he made in the company's recent first-quarter earnings conference call. They include AMD's plans to ship a 1.4GHz Athlon chip this quarter and a 1.5GHz chip in the third quarter, and to officially announce Athlon chips for notebook PCs in May."

Harvey, from your link: Sample versions of Clawhammer will be made available to PC makers in the fourth quarter.

Pretty much the old schedule. I don't want to downplay any schedule slips but it was extremely unrealistic to expect volume shipments of Clawhammer late this year. As long as samples are available in that timeframe, I don't think there are any big delays in the project. I think it was Joe who already pointed out some weeks(?) ago that it was very unlikely for AMD to debut three new products within six months (Palomino, Morgan, Clawhammer).
