Kerrey supported Bradley and campaigned against Gore's fundraising tactics and negative campaigning. He also havily criticized the heavy fundraising by Clinton/Gore in 96 involving foreign money.

Dear Cyberken: I seriously doubt that the "team" rounded up villagers and executed them. There is no reason for that and those political "executions" that were carried out were done by non military personnel run by the CIA to my knowledge. They were never a Village and certainly never old men, women and children, rather VC politico's. I suspect that teammate of Kerrey's either is having dementia or has been paid a great deal of money to give a "story". I see no reason for this to even be brought up and discussed and think the less of it of the N.Y. Times for instigating it. Now, could innocents be killed in a fire fight in a FREE FIRE ZONE, of course, happens all the time. Incidentally, going from my recollection (years are starting to fade the memory you know) a free fire zone means you have permission to shoot anything that moves. Hell, I once shot a goat in the dark that jingled our trip wire!! (gg). I personally think though that most civilian casualties came from bombing or artillery fire. You take fire from a position, the last thing you wish to do is stroll up there and try and sort out who is who!! If you are lucky, you call in a fire mission and STAY IN YOUR HOLE. haha. JDN
