The case has been made elsewhere that the Btk is overly weighted towards the large, pharma-like biotechs (BTs) which are completely unrepresentative of the industry as a whole. Pharma, and pharma-like companies, have done very well during the NAZ crash because they are perceived to be defensive investments.

In my opinion, and I believe my views are supported by the evidence, if 'real' BT stocks are examined, the carnage in biotechnology has been devastating...and substantially worse than the equipment sector.
