Eureka!!!! We're making progress!!! I've just kept clicking on the darn icon (bear in mind that I've been reluctant to do this because 2 guys at Dell Tech Support last night, including the supervisor, told me that it was a porno virus ["my uncle had one just like it"] and I was absolutely not to click on it while connected to the Internet or we would have a $300 charge on the phone bill, etc., etc.)....

So I found out that it belongs to the Microsoft Works Portfolio which is something involving using pictures in Microsoft Works documents. Whew!

I still can't figure out how to delete the darn thing but at least now we know that it's absolutely harmless.

So, do any Microsoft Works folks know how to get rid of this? When it opens up I can hit a "close" command but there's no real "exit."

Thanks again for all of your help!!!!
