Tetratel Inc - News Release Tetratel receives U.S. patent for EyeFX 3D Tetratel Inc TIN Shares issued 9,159,657 2001-05-09 close $0.24 Thursday May 10 2001 News Release Mr. Ken Tetterington reports Tetratel has received notification from the United States Patent and Trademark Office that the patent application for its core EyeFX 3D technology has been allowed for issuance. The patent describes a method and apparatus to create an artificial stereoscopic video mode and is applicable to both computer and high-definition television systems. The allowance of this patent increases Tetratel's intellectual property and technology assets to now include two patents and one provisional patent in the United States. Since its introduction, Tetratel's EyeFX 3D technology has become the de facto technological standard for allowing computer users to see full-screen three-dimensional images and video games. It has also become a standard for viewing three-dimensional images over the Internet. This key industry patent ensures Tetratel's short- and long-term royalty revenue opportunities from within the existing marketplace. While the granting of the EyeFX 3D patent further strengthens the company's position as a leader in the field of three-dimensional viewing and projection technologies it also reinforces the relationships Tetratel has with its key project partners.
