reDell and temps
I have no idea if this is the reason but...
Two years ago I bought a Dell computer over the internet and this year I bought another.
The difference in service between the two years is astounding.
And negative.
This year, unlike the first time (of course if this had happened the first time I would not have been a repeat customer) the amount charged my credit card was wrong. The company has been unwilling to fix it: talking to a supervisor is impossible she/he is always "unable to accept calls at this time, too busy or unavailable". I was told the person who originally sold the Dell to me and filled out the forms is now fired for incompetency but her errors are not being corrected. I therefore simply told the credit card co (Dell...first U.S.A.) that I would pay for the computer up to the disputed amounts. We'll see what happens.

The machine itself seems ok but what will happen when I want service? (the first machine needed someone coming out several times in the first two years.)
Incidentally wrote Michael Dell (who knows who actually reads it though) about the experience and recieved no reply.
