I'm not one to be defending Jesus so I'll pass. Except for one thing, I recall reading Jesus said "abandon your family and follow me", and Ayn saying what you owe other people is limited, she qualified that immediately by saying except of course your parents.

If the Mother Teresa's of the world don't conduct charity then the big brothers of the world will. The former is better than the latter for all of us no matter how we feel about it.

I have no comment on your favorite link site except to say those people have some serious issues that probably stem from some unhappiness not related to Christianity. What it presents is Catholicism versus Protestantism, if Christ had a message a value or a meaning it is lost there.

The bible is a collection of stories, at best some of them are pleasant. Those pleasant fables might help some that are on a much rockier road than we. Do you propose to take them away, they will need other fables, what do you propose to replace them with?

You realize that don't you? They will need other fables.
