You got an implication from James' posts that I do not see at all, so that you do not see where my post comes from is not a big surprise. You have asked before to discuss what "the left" means now, yet the stances I see you take don't strike me as leftist, not that leftist isn't diverse. And the way you talk to most of the people on SI that I consider to be left-leaning is pretty rude, a couple in particular. So when you say you want to discuss the left, I am leary of your motivation. And we all choose how we will speak ourselves. I see after today that there is a possibility of fruitful discussion. What "the left" means now is a timely subject. The direction we take as a whole is timely. But if you hide behind saying that someone else is responsible for your rude remarks, nope. That it will take time to change, that's cool. And none of that heterosexual male/female sparring shit. That's out of my realm. If you need a guide to go by, pretend you are talking to a eunuch. Or Michael Jackson. Without all the surgery. It's your choice. Expensive, hotshot lawyers are a dime a dozen.
