I'm guessing you're thinking of PlanetRx and Drugstore.com?

Wasn't there one with a name like planet-something.com. And maybe GeoWorks.com ? And I know there was another at the same time as planet-whatever.

Sarmad,

I suspect you are thinking of planetall.com and jungalee. That was not an investment but an aquisition via stock if I recall. They were done together. Planetall.com was $300 million is stock at the time. It is now closed and has no use at all. I am not sure of jungalee is of any use at this point.

Amazon works in such large numbers $300 million in stock does not sound that large. However, that was the market price at the time and Amazon could have used the same stock to raised $300 million in cash. I know Amazon management claims not to need cash presently but candidly, I believe that is inaccurate.
