I can't understand why there is so much complaining in this forum...about the cost of stock options in light of the tremendous growth...

I absolutely accept employee stock options as a cost of doing business for any growth company. And if the stock doesn't grow, there is no cost.

The fact that it causes dilution, which should be rectified...

My point was that at $54/share, last year's repo was itself dilutive! That cash could have been earning at least 2% after taxes, over $1/share, and that's way more than INTC's expected EPS this year or next.

what about the debt that Jerry wants to convert too common.

AMD has been reporting fully diluted EPS assuming the notes will convert for over a year.
