On a serious note Gina, think about what has passed for creative leadership in Sacramento recently:

1. Felony convictions and jail time for electricity sellers who charge more than someone's idea of a fair price.

2. 100% windfall profits tax for electricity sold in the California market at a price above $80 per megawatt hour.

3. Stick the federal government with the entire cost of the state's mistake.

I've always joked that bright people would not want to be in the government because the politics destroy your reputation and family. Now we can see the quality of people attracted to government service, and it is not pretty. And I mean politicians, not civil servants. As a country we need to make government service something in which good people would want to participate.
