The mechanics were capitalistic to the hilt, Mike, but the driving force was grossly misplaced centralized power ...both tenets of ALL totalitarian governments in my opinion. We have checks and balances, in theory, but often enough the check is not cashed and the balancers are unbalanced. At least she may get her life and home back,...as the millions slaughtered in Russia and China and Germany and Cambodia and Iraq etcetera etc will not. But then again we slaughtered millions in the Phillipino revolt et al.....well I guess this would quickly become a political debate.To me it is all about the dangers, large and small, of power.I will gladly allow you the last word, and then back to Ampex.
