Interesting. I didn't know that they passed along the tax directly without a vote first.

I imagine they will cut 50 again for fear of the selloff if they do less. I have a hunch though that the bond mar,ket will throw a fit and the market will pay for it anyway.

Almost everything I have been reading is pointing out that it is now obvious that Greenspan is in a panic and trying to print his way out of trouble, inflation be damned.

I would rather see us just have the recession and get it over with than this. I am really starting to believe we will whipsaw out of the trough and go into an inflationary spiral that goes out of control. Imagine sliding on the ice then over correcting only to shoot off the opposite side of the road.

Just read that an ABC news clone version of the Consumer Confidence report dropped even lower this week.
