Bioinformatics: J, The competition is already heating up. I just finished reading this week's Nature. There was a blurb about a Swiss proteomics company called GeneProt. The founder said they will use a Compaq computer that "will deliver more power than is available to any other proteomics company" (Nature 1999; 410:p856). I would imagine there are a few Silkworms hooked up to it. They have more details about their IT in the press release on their web site: geneprot.com Also scanned May 2001 Computer and they have any excellent article on VoD. Hope to clarify a few points with the author and will post here later. G.
