Hi Myst, Did you start your spreadsheet with the AIM template from the BB? The freebie that Bill Riedeman creates works great and can be constructed for very long histories.

IMO, the longer the history, the more the results validate the proposed changes. I also look at the return on the average capital at risk for the entire period. ROCAR.

I find sometimes that the methods I've tried to get AIM improvements actually are only increases in average capital at risk. However, if we make a proposed change and it improves both total return and ROCAR, then we're getting somewhere.

In other words, sometimes we can be deceived by what looks like a nice improvement in total return when we're actually only increasing our risk. I always use AIM BTB as the base line on these things.
