Hope that those who are trying to walk the China tightrope at the top of the official US foreign policy establishment pay careful attention. Assume they will and that his view will at a minimum be fed into the mix. yeah, Tom's respected enough to get a thorough hearing at the highest levels. And there are certainly lots of very good people in this administration whom I would trust to walk that tightrope as carefully and responsibly as possible. 'Course, there are also a lot of loons inside too...<GGG> I'd love to be a fly on the wall for some of the discussions the senior administration officials have, both with each other and about each other... tekboy@whohateshavingtowatchfromthesidelines.com
