OT OT OT

Altho I support Chaney's development of more energy, including nuclear, I am appalled at the spending for the anti-missle defense system.

1) Who needs it?
2) Panels of scientists stated that it doesn't work.
3) Anticipate a 60 billion program having enormous cost overruns. Even if it came under budget, we still don't need it.
4) It will destabilize arm proliferation curbs that are in effect.
5) It looks to our foreign allies as US hegemony and arrogance.
6) It will take away technical abilities from away from products and services from the consumer trade area and economically weaken us indirectly.

This is a bone to the conservative wing, but one that will divert money from many more basic domestic priorities.

PS I am also pissed that Dubya is imposing abortion controls on foreign aid. George, we are afraid of overpopulation and they are afraid of poverty. In addition, it is not your business.
