I thought you were banned.

A well thought-out post ... i read it twice, going to read it again ..... seems to me that primary among the necessary aptitudes for a guru is a healthy ego, one strong enough to shake off the inevitable flak, strong enough to admit when one is wrong, strong enough to listen when listening is warranted, strong enough to keep learning, because when ya stop learning, ya die.

Jenna, i never knew ye ... beyond lurking your thread a time or two, as i just explained over on iHub ... but you listen now to this - You are way out of line dumping on Kerry J. Carmichael ... man's a frikin saint, c'mon grab a clue, get down on your knees and apologise ... and then take a holiday, unwind, it'll do you good ... cheers

TLC, nice post. Re: "Very few gurus, in my experience, will educate their clients about what they are doing exactly."

On this point, I'd say that Ken Wolff and his Mtrader.com site represent the best of an educational trading site (at least in my limited exposure to such sites). Ken and his staff seem truly dedicated to educating people. In fact, he has an extensive self-administered online trading course and conducts a "lesson" every day during midday to explore a subject in depth. Every trade presented to the chat room is accompanied with an explanation of how the trade fits in context to Ken's momentum trading method. There is also a daily pre-market analysis of events and how to interpret them.

Ken designed his site for people with small accounts who need to fine tune their momentum trading skills. He does not make investment recommendations; all trades are momentum based.

P.S. I see you still have that great writing skill... How's cOusin sHorty?

Finally a bright light...Go to the light and reread those nine rules folks. Get some objectivity.

(TLC who really may or may not be JXM <g>)

Very few gurus, in my experience, will educate their clients about what they are doing exactly

If they did, you wouldn't be paying all that money for a guru to tell ya what and when to trade. If you knew David Copperfield's magic secrets, would you still pay to see him make stuff disappear?

I'd rather be my own guru. I'll only have myself to praise, or blame.

Probably going to get banned for saying that. lol !!!

What a post TLC. Excellent and a must read

Thanks for taking the time to post it for us. It is a keeper and I am going to print it out to give to others.

I just finished printing out some information from the DowTheory thread about compounding for some people and I will give them your post also to add to their collection of information.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Patricia

Have any idea what happen to her favorite author Martin Ping? I wrote down that she was crazy over his books in the beginning of the year of 2000 in my trusty guru notebook and I did not read any of his books.
