Mag. You'd be surprised how many people

say that to me(g).

It's only natural to want to learn and improve your skills. Some successful traders write books or teach classes. Others act as mentors. Unfortunately I don't have the time to do any of that. I'll just be posting occasionally when my schedule permits.

Some of my stuff is proprietary, and some I couldn't even teach my own son if I tried.(g) After so many years, a lot of the rules, guidelines and insights you've picked up trigger ideas and decisions on a subliminal level.

But the Short question is easy to answer.

No, I don't sell short anymore. When I was a broker with one of the major W.S. firms I was very good at shorting. But that was almost 20 years ago.

You have to bear in mind that one's risk profile changes considerably as you become older. In my late 50s, I'm not interested in working as hard as I used to. And fortunately am in now financially in the position where I don't have to.

So I don't short. Don't use margin on the long side. And only rarely use options.

Cheers,

Isopatch
