RE:Bush ought to send them a parting gift of a cruise missile aimed right at that plane.

Which plane? With your type of diplomacy, there would be no person left to be diplomatic with.

Jerome, it's a U after all says Chambers. Some other experts even introduce the letter J backwards.

>``I think we're in a ''U," said Cisco Systems Inc. (NasdaqNM:CSCO - news) Chief Executive John Chambers, referring to a U-shaped pattern in which the economy falls and then remains depressed for some time before recovering. Chambers' opinion has changed from several months ago, when he spoke of a V-shaped economy, that would bounce back quickly.<

Michael Powell, Chairman of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, also spoke about the limits of technology during his keynote address, in which he revealed that all of his mobile gadgets sometimes just complicated his life.<

Me, I think it's gonna be a V with a dull point at the bottom.

" What really ticks me off is that Bush went out of his way to be restrained and polite the the Chinese over the plane incident, and they go out of their way to insult him. Didn't they call him a " weak egoist"? Bush ought to send them a parting gift of a cruise missile aimed right at that plane.

Now its "Jerome the War Monger". Article in the NY Times earlier this week talks about Bush's policy of separating the Chinese and Russians. We used that successfully during the cold war when nixon went to china. Those 2 countries are not natural allies and we can get some balance going again by dealing with them separately. Plus we have the Japanese card to play. No one power should dominate in the Pacific. As i have said before, in the world of 21st century politics, China is a teenage country. If you have raised teenagers, you know how difficult that can be. But eventually they grow up, that is if they survive those teenage years. Also as far as Bush goes, first 100 days is a learning experience as well. There have been a few missteps in foreign policy but none approaching Bay of Pigs fiasco or Clinton's disastrous first 100 days of chaos. And he is not married to Hillary so we dont have to worry about the Global Village bs. Mike

Should Bush have emulated Clinton and kowtowed to them, practically giving away defennse secrets and allowing them visits to the White House so they could simply say "Hello." LOL. If you are going to be critical, at least be fair. Clinton did more to appease the Chinese than any other leader I can think of.

Bush ought to send them a parting gift of a cruise missile aimed right at that plane.

Great logic Jerome, Start WW3 over a surveillance plane which is no longer usable?!?!
